About

Susan Fenny counselling

Who am I?

My name is Susan and I am a Person-Centred Therapeutic Counsellor.  My experience includes working with adults and young people within several agency settings as well as private practice.

What will I do?

I will try to provide a space where you feel comfortable to tell your story, express your thoughts and feelings and be heard.  As you explain how you feel, I will listen without judging you, so that you can find a way forward that suits you.  We are all individuals with unique reactions to our life experiences.  I will work with you at a pace with which you feel comfortable and together we can explore the issues that trouble you.

How do I work?

I provide face to face, telephone, or on-line counselling.  If you are unused to video calls, but  think this may suit you, I can help you to get started.  We can begin with a set number of sessions or I can offer long-term counselling.

Where am I?

My therapy room is on the border of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.  It’s easy to reach as it’s just by junction 24 of the M1 and close to the M42.  There is plenty of off street parking and the skylink bus route also passes close by.

How am I working during the Covid-19 pandemic?

When it is safe to return to working face to face, I will continue to ensure that I follow government guidelines to provide a safe space for counselling.  On-line and telephone counselling will always be an option for clients who prefer this way of working.

How do we get started?

The relationship we create is an important part of person-centred counselling.  I therefore offer a 30-minute telephone consultation to see how we fit when we are working together.

All you need to do at this stage is email, text or call.  Leave me a message and I’ll get back to you as quickly as I can.

You may find the answer to your question here.  If there is anything else you need to know just contact me and I will be happy to answer any queries.
